Dr. Lori Blankenship, Ph.D., DVM, CVA
Lori Blankenship received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1989, Ph.D. in genetic toxicology from The George Washington University in 1996 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Blankenship practiced veterinary medicine in a conventional veterinary practice for 10 years while studying holistic medicine. She received certification in veterinary acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and has completed courses in Chinese herbal medicine, and Chinese food therapy. Dr. Blankenship has completed Dr. Richard Pitcairn's course in veterinary homeopathy, and has studied with human homeopath Nikki Henriques. She continues to study homeopathy extensively.
Her passion is providing our companions the best chance for a long, healthy life with us. With foresight and an open mind, she always tries to see the complete picture and formulate a plan that will lead to improvements and patient health.
Dr. Blankenship lives in Rixeyville Virginia with her 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and 4 horses. She is a member of the OPRC (Old People’s Riding Club) and enjoys riding with the club and with her daughter and being a horse show mom on the weekends.
